STARTS. HUGE FIRE
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION -COPYRIGHT. VIENNA, July 29. Schottek, a clerk, who was dismissed for drunkenness, as a revenge fired a great stock* of timber at. the Northern Railway Station. A huge conflagration ensued, and 600 firemen, 3,ooo'police, ud 2,000 railwaymen fought the flames for 18 hours, and prevented them igniting a warehouse containing 2000' tons of benzine.
Schottek was arrested. Timber to the value of £50,000 was destroyed.
