A SERIOUS RIOT.

BRISBANE, July 31. Another riot took place at Childers. The police were arresting a striker. The mob charged the police, who fired revolvers in the air, and temporarily subdued the crowd.
There was a fresh outbreak at tv lock-up, stones being thrown and a call to rescue the prisoner made. Subsequently the trouble subsided.
