LONDON, July 29

The Birmingham-Llandudno express ran into an empty train at Crewe, traveling at 20 miles an hour.

Thirty passengers were injured, chiefly by falling luggage. Firemen with difficulty prevented the burning wreckage from firing the passenger train.
