The Annual Meeting of the MelSf Co- ! operative Dairy Cdlnp'Sny was held on ,l?fidavy, Mr W. DuriSj Chairman of Directors, presiding. The annual report stated that butter allows a slight increase, even after the sayere drought. The following table of statistics was Appended:— Pounds of milk supplied, 7,&89,495; pounds of butterfat, 294,376; pounds of butter, 345,396; pounds of milk to make Ub of butter, 22.69; over-run 17.33; average grade, 92.82; average test 3.75; cost of manufacturing, 1,23 1 cost of marketing, .97; paid suppliers, lid. Mr T. Allen and Mr G. H; Blackwell, retiring directors, were re-elected. Mr W. O'Callaghan was re-appointeOr auditor. The manager r and secretary were granted a bonus of £5 each. The question of joining in the cooperative pig industry scheme was discussed, and it was decided not to entertain the proposal It was agreed that it be a recommendation to the directors to enquire into the testing of cows, and if practicable, to carry it into effect.
