INSURANCE RATES.
MELBOURNE, July 30.
The Underwriters' Association has received a cable that the following are the war rates on steamers: Homewards, J per cent increase; outwards, l-16th. On sailers: Homewards and outwards, i per cent.
This is taken as an indication that Uoyds do not regard the situation seriously, as war risks are seldom computed in fractions.
