AN AIRSHIP WRECKED.

. 8Y CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGBT. s ; LONDON, May 5. i The Lebaudy airship was wrecked at Hornborough, on its first trial since the accident on October 26. A large crowd was present. The airship ascended in calm weather. After an hour's flight the wind freshened, and in descending the vessel was entirely out of control. Soldiers failed to catch the towing ropes. Women and children ran screaming from the airship's path, and the trailing ropes tripped up scores. The airship just missed the balloon factory, but fouled a clump of trees and burst, the report being heard a mile away. The machine is a complete wreck, and is now enveloping a three-storey house. The crew had miraculous escapes, receiving only a severe shaking.
