BOWLING.
Four rinks of the Hawera Club went to AVaverley on Wednesday afternoon, and had a most enjoyable time on the green of this popular club. The visitors had to submit to defeat, the home rinks # winning by a substantial margin, which they thoroughly deserved by the superiority of their play. Mr Rutherford, President, m his welcome congratulated the Hawera Club on the excellent showing it made at ™l erecent Auckland tournament. Mr Wilkie, President of Hawera Club was spokesman on behalf of the visitors, lne result of the play was as follows-—
