A DESTRUCTIVE FIRE. BY CABLE— PBBSS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT. ADELAIDE, Nov. 1. Bagshaw's engineering factory was destroyed by fire. The damage is very heavy. Insurances totalled £20,000. SCHOONER RE-FLOATED. SYDNEY, Nov. 1. The schooner Australia has been refloated and towed in. NORTHERN TERRITORY. (Received Nov. 2, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 2. The House of Representatives passed the Northern Territory Acceptance Bill through its final stages. GOVERNOR'S SECRETARY. ADELAIDE, Nov. 2. In the Assembly the Treasurer stated that the Governor, rather than that there should be any controversy, had asked for an extra vote of £500 for payment of his private secretary, his ' typist to be withdrawn. The Treasurer declared the Government had a major•ity to carry the vote, but in respect for the Governor's wishes the item would be withdrawn. INCOME TAX. "SoBART, Nov. 2. A return tabled in the Assembly shows the amount receivable by the Government in six years in the shape of income tax on prizes and' stamp duty on tickets totalled £243,820. WRECK OF A PEARLER. (Received Nov. 2, 10.30 a.m.) PERTH, Nov. 2. An unknown pearling vessel has been wrecked at Moora. It is reported that the captain was drowned.
