TAYLOR-CARRINGTON'S PICTURE-DRAMA.
To-night at the Opera House the Taylor-Carrington management will, by arrangement with John Fuller and Sons, present the famous picturedrama, "For the Term of His Natural Life," founded on Marcus Clarke's historical Australian work. Readers of that graphic human story will readily understand how adaptable to pictorial dramatisation it is, and the producers have seized all their opportunities. The result is a remarkable and connected narrative. It carries the spectators through all the exciting incidents of the book, such as the wrongful arrest and sentence of innocent Rufus Dawes, the mutiny on the convict ship, and the stirring episodes of Dawes ; life in the penal settlement of Australia. The love of the falselyaccused hero for Sylvia, and their ultimate doom are well illustrated, giving a tender if pathetic interest to the story. The picture-drama is said to be exceptionally good, and, according to exchanges, reflects great credit upon the producers. Prices within the reach of all are announced, and the box plan is at Cole and Donnelly's, where seats may be reserved without extra charge.
