WELLINGTON, May 23. Mi Haselden, S.M., gave judgment to-day in the cases brought by - the Labor Department against fifty wharf laborers of being parties to a strike by ceasing work on the Wanaka in February last when the use of hooks in bags of cement was forbi-Iden. The Magistrate said the Arbitration Court, to whom certain points had been referred'; was unable to say that there had been a strike. He was of the same opinion. He entered a judgment of nonsuit in ea«.h case, no costs being alloyed.
