BERLIN, May 23
The Norddeutcher Gazette says that the demonstrations of sympathy accorded to the Kaiser in England on the death of his uncle, King Edward, were acknowledged in Germany with lively satisfaction. The paper adds: "It is hoped that the reciprocal friendliness shown on the sad occasion will strengthen the conviction that no conceivable difficulties can arise between the two countries unsurmountable by goodwill and mutual understanding."
