LONDON, May 23. "William Jones, an unemployed laborer at Sunderland, was found lying on a doorstep of his domicile with his throat cut and in a critical condition. A neighbor, stepping over him and entering the house, was horrified to find five dead people whose heads were nearly severed— Jones, his wife, and four children, all the latter being under eight years of age.
