LONDON, April 10. Mr J. Tomkinson, M.P. for Crewe, was thrown in the Parliamentary Steeplechase at Epping and struck his head. He ultimately regained consciousness, and there are some hopes of his recovery. (Received April 11, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, April 11. Obituary: Mr James Tomkinson, MiP. Mr Tomkinson was born in 1840, and was Liberal member for Crewe division of Cheshire since 1900. He was a director of Lloyd's Bank, Ltd.
