SENTENCED.

Lpeesb association.] WELLINGTON, April 9. Throe prisoners were sentenced by the Chief Justice to-day. Charles Johnston, theft of a cart at Otaki, six months; Jesse O'Brien (alias McCarthy), theft from a dwelling, nine months; Elizabeth Ward, breaking and entering, three year's. Ward had been previously convicted 11 times for drunkenness, 12 times for theft, and once for being a rogue and a vagabond.
