COMMITTEE MEETING.

• A meeting of the General Committee of the Egmont A. aiid P. Association was held on Saturday afternoon. There were present: Messrs A. Hunter (President)^ A. W. Gillies (Treasurer), A. S. Tonks, Best, Campbell Bros., T. R. Exley, Hamilton, T. Winks, W. Gads- • by, Hamilton, and Linn. . RESIGNATIONS. The resignations of Messrs C. J. Belcher (Rawhitiroa), D. L. A. Astbury (Mahoe), and Dr Brown (Hawera) as members of the Association were received. NEW BOUNDARIES. The committee appointed to go into the question of drafting new boundaries recommended four boundaries •• as follows: — No. 1 Riding (nine members). — ' Bounded on the west' by the Waingo r ngoro river, on the north by the Austin road, Ngawini road, Mangimingi stream, across to the Tongahoe, the latter being the eastern boundary. No. 2 Riding (five members) .—^West of Waingongoro river. No. 3 Riding (five members). — North of No. 1 Riding, and lying between the Waingongoro and Tongahoe rivers. No. 4 Riding (five members). — East of Tongahoe river. , ' The President moved that the report be adopted. Mr Gillies enquired if^ the proposed Stratford Show would interfere jpith Hawera. '%^ Mr Best said he did not think Ho ; they might lose a few members, and 1 one member had resigned, Mr Tonks wondered if it would not be a good thing to create another riding at Stratford. Replying to a question, the President stated he did not think there would be anything against a member representing one particular riding and residing in another. The idea of the ridings was, however, to p-et men in the ridings to represent their respective districts. Mr Gillies said if they knew of a good member in the outlying districts who would be eligible for a seat on the committee they could arrange that he be appointed. Mr Exley seconded the motion (for the adoption of the report), which was carried. This was all the business, and tho meeting adjourned.
