A wedding of interest to many in this district is thus reported in the County. Echo, a paper published in Pembrokeshire: "The ancient and picturesquelysituated Parish Church at Manorowen was this (Wednesday) afternoon' the ( scene of an exceedingly pretty and fashionable wedding, which aroused the deepest interest thoughout the locality and its environs, the contracting parties being Mis« Georgina Margaret Yorke, eldest daughter of Mr James Charles Yorke, J.P., and Mrs Yorke, of Langton, Dwrbach, and Mr Hugh Mortimer Thomas, M.D., of Goodwick, son of the late Surgeon-Major J. R. Thomas. The bride was given away by her father and attended by her cousin and her sisters^ Misses Olive and Marcauna Yorke. The service was choral and the church prettily decorated for the occasion." Mr Yorke will be remembered by many as a former proprietor of the Star, who also owned the farm at Riverdale that still bears his name.
