MR MAJOR AT WAITOTARA.

(Frqm a Correspondent.) There wa§ a large attendance at Mr Major's meeting last evening — said to be tie largest political meeting ever held there — there being orer 100 present. I£r Major , dealt with a number of subjects not included in his Hawera speech, and at the conclusion replied to. Mr Pearcete attacks upon the Go- ' vernment and upon himself. Mr Major assured the audience the Government desired to promote the best' interests of the dairy industry. Mr J. H. Verry occupied the chair. Mr Major was J roundly applauded at the conclusion of v his speech. Mr F. Hooper proposed j and Mr Hartwell seconded a vote of thanks to. Mr Major for his address, which was carried unanimously.
