A meeting of members of the Sunshine League, and of all those who are interested in the League's work, will be held in Mr Hirsts office on 28th inst., and a full attendance is particularly requested. T.he League has done excellent service, and Mrs Hirst is anxious that the good work may be continued. A Stab reporter was assured on reliable authority that there is practicably no second-grade dairy produce being turned out in Taranaki this season, whereas last season there was very I little else. One reason is said to -be that farmers are exercising more care of their milk (which now arrives at. the ' factory for the most part in condition), and another is because of the # splendid condition of dairying stock, owing to the highly' favorable winter experienced and the* consequent rich pastures that were available for^ the spring months. The milk supply at many of the factories in the very -heart of the industry in this province, the Hawera district, has- already passed all previous records, and at some of the cheese factories the managers are in a quandary how to procure enough vats to cope with the supply.

Tlie Catholic. Church bazaar held at Manaia, which closed on Saturday . night, resulted in a sum of £310 being raised. After the necessary amount for expenses is deducted there remains tf sum of about £280. As about £270 was needed to wipe* out the debt for - which the bazaar was arranged, the result is.i nighly satisfactory. The joinfi secretaries (Messrs J. J. and" J. Cpsgrbve) carried out their duties admirably. Mr Meldon. in a J^at speech, gave the ladies full credit fox their share in making the bazaar a suc-V eesfe, and said that through their efforts^ & remarkable result had been achieved. Meldon also thanked the, band members and "the non-Catholio friends who had so liberally contributed, .remarking that at some future date the Catholics would be found rfteiproeatine • tke same friendly feeling and assistance. '• Additions are made in this issue to " dates of Dimock's pig sales. '
