The lamb market is firm, with good , demand for prime quality stocks on hand. Canterbury brands s£d, other than Canterbury s}d. The beef market is steady, and stocks of New. Zealand on hand are light. Hind-quarters are quoted at 3|d, forequarters 3}d. Th.c butter market is very firm. Shipments by the Mamari arrived in good jsindition, 125s per cwt being realised fdfrVthis season's make. Danish is queued at 130s, Siberian 112s, Australian 1225, Argentine 120s, Canadian 119s. The cheese market is quiet, with little doing, but a good feeling prevails. For forward delivery Canadian makes are quoted at 61s. The hemp market is dull, with very little business doing. Good fair grade on spot is quoted at £26; fair grade on spot £23, fair current Manila on "' .spot £24.
