LONDON MARKET REPORTS.

Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable messages from bheir London house under date of the 22nd instant: —

Frozen meat — The market for beef is firmer, and prices may advance in consequence of colder weather. Supplies of chilled beef have decreased. Mutton : Market firm, but prices are unchanged. The market for lamb is firm, and prices since our last advices are l-8d per lb higher.

Tallow — Prices are nominally unchanged, but the tendency is downwards. There is a very poor demand for tallow on the spot. Speculators are offering to sell for forward delivery at very low prices, but buyers are indifferent.
