Petone Hack Hurdles — Master Douglas 1, Jolly Roger 2, Liberator 3. A good race ; won by two lengths. Gleam fell. All started. /' Tararua Handicap — Blue Ribbqn 1, Pellicle 2, Voetgang 8. Scratched: Crucinella, Mallet. A great race; wod by a neck. Time, 1.35. Trentham Hurdles— Paparaehi 1, Mahoe 2, Snip 3. Scratched: Exmoor, Gleam. • A good race ; won easily by two lengths. Time, 3.31. Trial Stakes — Merrivonia 1, Bracken 2, Cork 3. , Scratched: Sir Single* Winco, Passive. Won easily by a - length. Time, 1.21 1-5. Juvenile Handicap^ — Day Beam 1, Applegarth 2, Expansion 3. All started. A good race. Won easily by a neck. Time, 52secs. Pearce Handicap — Sir Frisco 1, Crucinella 2, Vasa 3. Scratched: Truganini, Sandstream, Mallet, Staidan. California was badly left. Crucinella came with a great ran in the straight, failing to get up by a head. Time y 1.47 3-5.
