Hospital Sunday at Stratford was a great suooe&s. A special train of nine large carriages from New Plymouth was packed. The bands present were : Taranaki Garrison (New Plymouth), Kaponga, Eltham, Inglewood, and Stratford. There were also present Taranaki Rifles and Quards (New Plymouth), Mounted Rifles and Cadets ■ (Stratford), and Friendly Societies were represented from all over Taranaki. A procession marched from the Oddfellows' Hall to the Domain, each I band performing at intervals. At the Domain there was an attendance of from 2000 to 3000, and here a welcome was given by several of the- Stratford city fathers. Each band rendered a selection, ending with a selection by the massed bands. It is reported that the collection amounted to £108. Testimonials prove Pearson's Pepto • chlor cures indigestion.
