NORMANBY.

\ (From a Correspondent.) On Tuesday last, whilst Mr Barnes and family were at the milking shed, some parson or persons entered the house and secured a small sum of money. The police have the matter in hand. j I am sorry to have to record a sad ' accident which happened to Mr J. H. Hayward's little son. It appears that on Wednesday last the little fellow was playing with some other children with a go-cart, and by some means tripped and fell, with the result that one of the bones "of his leg was broken below the knee. The little sufferer was taken to Hawera by his father and the limb set by Dr Simmonds. The Gun Club held a practice shoot on Wednesday afternoon, when two sweepstakes were got off/ Mr W. Minhinnick being the winner in each case. Some good shooting was seen during the afternoon. I hear that the Hawera Dairy Co., Ltd., are about to erect a creamery at Hirstlands, and many local people are wondering what the Normanby Co-oper^ ative Factory are doing in the matter, seeing that their Chairman (Mr Gane) announced at the Hirstlands sale that his company had secured a site for a qreamery. , The local factory is now running only every other day, and the supply of milk is deacreasing fast.
