APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF VENUE.

Mt Justice Edwards heard argument, to-day on the motion for a change of -venue of the action by the Auckland City Council, claim £700, from the Electric Tramways Company, for failing to provide sufficient rolling stock; Counsel for the company did not think 1 with the present feeling 'in Auckland that the company could, get an impartial trial here. His Honor suggested that the evi"denoe "might b© taken here and forwarded to the Appeal Court for decision. The company's solicitor desired time to consider this proposal. His Honor said it 1 appeared the only course, or they would have to take what they could get from an Auckland jury. Argument was ad-! journed till Tuesday. j
