Gillies and' Nalder report overflowing yardmgs at both their Okaiawa .and .Hawera yards. At Okaiawa "wo Had a' brisk ' sale, nearly the whole of the yarding being disposed of at the hamme»r_. jj^: H&\ver& w@ had a ftiofe dragging Gale, ths bulk ol th 6 yarding consisting of steers, which m&t with little demand. We quote as follows { /
At Olwrfawa : Fat cows £4 l&s, £4 12s 6d, £"4 Bs, £4 ss, forward cows £3 17s 6d, £3 J£s, td £2' los, lfrmoMh Bteeore £2 6s 64t0..£2/weaner steers. £l 6e 6fi to £1 2s 6d, do. heifers 10s to ss, pigs 25s to 12s 6d, forward ewes 12s 9H to 11b 6d. At Hawera : Fat ewes 13s, lambs 7s, old ewes 4s 3d, 3 and 4-year steers £5 5s to £4 15s, 2-year steers £2 15s to £2 Bs, fat cows £4 10s, £4 7s 6d to £4 ss, store cows £3 Bs, £3 5s to £2 10s, weaner steors 24s weaners (mixed) 15s to ss.
