PATEA WEST BOAD BOARD

The monthly meeting of the Patea West Road Board was held on ; Mon-/ day,; present-^-The Chairman, Messrs * McCarthy, Macdonald, Lawrie, Wilhamson, Gadsby, Foreman. Mr D. Hurley was granted leave to ; remove sand from Makino road subject to Mr McDonald's supervision. Mr Lawrie handed in his resignation, which was accepted with regret. Considerable discussion took place as to tlie discrepancy in measurement. It ' was, ,reßolved.th^t the Board pay half cost 'of measurement of stone', as measured by Mr .Bigg. : The Foremah'was instructed to measure, the small heaps with the contrac- ' tor,' Mr Higg /to'^ measure, the large heaps. , , .' 1 Mr Williamson reported having ar- . ranged to, purchase old metal for the Paterson toad at 2s^ boulders Bs,"cartage Is 64 for gravel, 2s for boulders, napping ' 4s.— Approved, Mr •' Foreman to be added to the Kakaramea committee to arrange re metal from pit. .< It was decided that the County Council be thanked for their grant of £20.
