J Bos)n*st Notlc**. 1 " 1 I SUTTON'S DEVON EAVER RYE, '1 j * IT IS PERENNIAL AND IT WILL NOT RUN OUT. i THERE IS NOTHING NEW ABOUT SUTTON'S DEVON E&VER — rIT IS OVER 100 TEAL'S OLD. i _ A S Rye Grass is the principal gra&s in all pastures for sheep or cattle, j •*■ *• it is very important that the greatest caution and ear* be ex- ! erciseu in securing seed which will pr&Te perennial and will not run j out Experience in. England has proved the,t seed saved by Suttons, from their old pastures m Devonshire, gives not only a grass which will Jast foi all time, but ono which has easily a greater feeding value than all others Eaactly the same applies in, this colony. The noted j pastures in Poverty Bay and Hawke's Bay were all laid down, with, this seed more than fifty years aso, and are as good to-day as tbey ! ever were; in fact, each year they improve. Aleo, there is no doubt whatever that the finest stands of Rye in Taranaki are those very old pastures which wero sown down wi th this old Devonshire seed in the early days by the* Missionaries It lias held better than all the seeda sance. sown and gathered in the Colony. Although the best colonial rye, even from Mission Stations, may die out in time, the DEVON EAVER, brought here by the Miss :t-naries: t-naries some, fifty years ago, though sown in many different localities, remains in th& ground to-day; this applies also to th" same seed brought out by the Devonshire families nearly forty years ago. Indeed, although Taranaki Soil ia.very reluctant to accept Colonial and {he ordinary imported Rye Seed, it has shown a remarkable liking for SUJTON'S DEVON EAVER. This is such a well known fact amongst the more observant Taranaki fanners Ihat we were pressed on all sid es to get supplies frem Suttons of I this Seed. We hav<j sold out our first two shipments, and the third, comprising 20 tanks, has just arrive-d per Corinthic. A large quantity of this has been booked for all parts of Taranaki- by our shrewdest fanners who realise that a good sowing is as important as a p.ood burn. The Rye all come® out in sealed tanks, thusi pieserving its vitality. P.S.— Don't confuse Suttons Davon Eaver Rye Grass Seed with other peed sold a» imported English Perennial Ryo— there is as great a difference as between sunshine and darkness. We guarantee satis^ faction, and you have Suttons name, which has been pre-eminent for 101 years, as a further wai ranty of satisfaction. REMEMBER 1 IT IS THE ONLY TRUE PERENNIAL RYE.
