The following football team has been selected to represent the Hawera Olub at the seven aside tournament to be held at Elth&m on Easter Monday : — Colman, Glenn, Whfttington, Beamish, Hunter, A. Goodwin, and McNiven. Six oi the men chosen took part in the last tournament andi assisted in upholding the' reputation of the Club. McNiven is the new man. An asphalt tennis court has been made on the "Te Ngutu-o^te-Manu Reserve, and the committee of settlors, of which Mr G. Proece is the chairman, hopes in this way to popularise the place from a picnic point of view. The reserve in all comprises about 40 acres, a portion being leased and oringing in sufficient revenue to allow of certain improvements' bring made. From a scenic and historic standpoint the place has great attractions.
