[press association.] AUCKLAND, April 13. There was a fire in the Star office «arly on Sunday morning. It originated in the stereo room. The fire brigade so promptly attacked the flames that they were confined to one floor in ihe back of the premises. The damage -was between £500 and £1000, which •was covered by insurances. All employees, engineers and carpenters worked energetically to get the plant in working order, ani repairs were effected sufficiently to enable work to be resumed as usual to-day. When the fire "brigade was proceeding to the fire the "hose reel, with tiro men, capsized when turning the corner into Fort street. The men sustained injuries which were not serious.
