MUSIC PLAYS A WjJlßfr TRICK WITH A CHILD.

Music has rarely played so weird a trick on anyone as on Joseph Williams, who at the age of eight- finds, himself with a deep bass voice and a. promising black moustache. Kecently (says the Daily Mail) he attended a voice trial at a West JEnd church, and the organist, Jfr Parjp Cole (who is a well-known composer and voioe-trainer) was so struck with the lad's singular vocal production and appearance that he has decided to give him the necessary tuition. "Of course, ihe child can have no idea of music at" present/ explained Mr Parry Cole, "but 1 have taken him down to the low G, and he is learning a song. His voice broke, they tell me, at the age of four. It is most curious." .
