GILLIES AND NALDER. Gillies and Nalder ’report there was a large attendance of buyers at their Glover joad sale yards on Thursday. The yards were filled to their utmost capacity with sheep and. cattle. Nearly 4000 sheep were pennftd and 500 cattle. Almost the whole of .the Entries were cleared, either under the' hammer or afterwards, at satisfactory prices. A lot of 500 2-tooths brought 9s 6d, 9s lOd, and 10s Bd, a line of 700 aged ewes realised from 4e 7d 'to 5s 2d, 200 lambs 6s 8d each, 250 lambs each brought sa, an- . other line of 270 lambs were sold at 5s Id each. ADDINGTON MARKETS. CHRISTCHURCH, April 8. Cattle: There was a good sale of fat cows. Steers £6 5s to £lO 12s 6d (the latter price -being paid for animals of extra quality), heifers £4 15s to £9 15s for ordinary, and up to £lO 10s for extra. Sheep: The yarding of fat sheep was considerably in excess of requirements, with the result that prices suffered a decline, values falling Is to Is 6d all round. The range of prices was: Prime wethers 19s to 255, lighter 14s to 18s, unfinished 10s to 13s, prime ewes 17s tc 19s, medium 12s to 16s, aged and l light 9s to 11s 6d. Fgt lambs: Tegs made up to 18s, best freezers 13s 6d to 16s 6d, and light and unfinished sorts 11s to 13s. was a large entry of fal pigs, .winch met with a fair demand.
