AN OUTRAGE
TIMARU, April 9.
Daniel Sargent, a middle-aged farmer residing on a farm of 200 acres twentyfive miles from Timaru, was committed for trial on a charge of wilfully killing a horse by shooting, and wounding three others. The horses belonged to a friendly neighbor. No motive is assigned for the crime.
