SPECIAL ORDER MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE. WHEREAS at a Special Meeting of the Council held on SATURDAY, 21st March. 1908, a resolution to the following effect was adopted, viz. : — 1 hat in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by tho Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901, and the amendments thereof, the Hawera County Council hereby resolves as follows: — That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £63,000, authorized to be raised by the Hawera County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing, providing, and establishing certain public works within the outlying districts of the Hawera County on the following scale : — Hawea-a Riding routlying) ... £23,712 Ararata Riding (outlying) ... £14,853 Meremcre Riding (outlying) £12,895 Mokoia Riding (outlying) ... £11,540 £63,000 r ihe said Hawera County Council hereby makes and levies a Special R*ato of 9-16 th of Id in the £ ui'on tho rateable, value of all rateable property of tho HawcTa* Ararata, Meiremoro, cud Mokoia Ridings (outlying ' districts) of the Hawera County, and that such Special Rate be an annual-recurring rato during the e*trroncy of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until, the loan is fully paid off, and that th& interest, to be charged on such loan, (or on so much thereof aa shall from timei to time be raised) shall be at the rate of 5| per cent per annum. Notice is hereby given that the said resolution will be confirmed at a Meeting of the Council to be held on THURSDAY, 23rd April, 1908, at 11 a.m., at the Ccunty Office, Hawera, end thereupon the said Special Order shall take effect, A copy of proposed Special.
