LADY DOCTOR.
DARGAVILLE, February 3. Dr Eleanor Southey Baker commenced duty on Saturday as locum tenens for the Medical Superintendent of the Northern Wairoa Hospital. She is believed to be the first lady doctor to occupy such a position in the Dominion.
