• DUNEDIN, December 6.

At the inquest on the body of H. L. Johnston, who died yesterday morning, a verdict was returned to the effect that death was due to excessive .bleeding from a wound in' the head, the cause of which there was not sufficient evidence to show, aggravated by the excessive use of alcoholic stimulants.

Mrs Johnston said she had not seen net husband sober for years.
