SIMPLE ACCIDENT ENDS FATALLY.

DUNEDIN, December 5.

Henry Lawsin Johnson, who lived at St. Glair, died this morning, apparently as the result of a slight wound on the top of his head inflicted by .a corkscrew on 25th November. Deceased, who had a corkscrew in his hand, stooped under a table to pick rap something. When, he rose, he was bleeding profusely from a wound on his head. A pad was made and the flow of blood was stopped, but every, time the pad was taken off, the bleeding commenced afresh. Deceased took ill early this morning, and when a doctor arrived he was dead. Deceased was well known in. racing circles a few years ago.
