WOMEN AND THE FRANCHISE.

In connection with the hearing of a maintenance case the husband claimed that the trouble arose through his wife voting at the Federal elections against hif will. Female franchise in some oases, he said, W3§ a curse to the country. The only ■women who wanted votes were those who had no children.
