Ladies and Gentlemen, — I HAVE decided to offer myself as a candidate for your suffrages at the next General Election, and propose supporting the present Liberal administration on their policy generally, but cannot agree with the Land Bill they are advocating, believing that the freehold should be given to all holding Crown lands desirous of obtaining it (endowments excepted), preventing the amalgamation of land by maintaining the limitation of area according to law, and by increasing the graduated land tax, contemporaneously however, reducing Customs duties on the necessaries of life.
