THE CADETS.

The Hawera Cadets, 80 strong, under Captain Strack, left for Christchurch encampment and visit to the Exhibition by special express this mjorning. Eltham Cadets (50), under Captain Thomas, and Wave Hey Cadets (25), \indcr Captain Banks, are also going. A conceit was usld in Wesley Hall on Tuesday night in aid of 13ie Circuit Fund. The items were very good and were highly appreciated. The orchestral selection by Mr W. Butchens' orchestra was excellent. Other items were :— Songs, Miss Crawford, Mr Eaddy (.encored), Miss Barley (em/coxed), j and) M:bs Wilson ; violin solo, Mr W.
