There are now nineteen butchers at work, ten killing freezers and nine killing potters. Butchers who decline to work have been given notice that they will have to leave the company's boarding-house at the works to make room for men whb wiH work. i * CHRISTCTIURCH, March 19. All the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company's works are full-handed now,, and whatever fresh men com© forward to ask f|or engagement will he sent, to the Pareiora works, where the men refused to work on account of the insertion of clause 5 in the agreement.
