EXHIBITION NOTES.

(By Telegraph — Special Service.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 18. The Exhibition was again well attended to-day. The judging of the home indusimes> exhibits will be completed this week.

The classes 1 still remaining are drawing, •geometry, native school work, modelling, and decorative design. Pictures are in the course of beimg judged 1 now. Tne judges' reports on the open classes for technical ©cnool pupils have bean handed into the committee, and the awards should be available easily in the week. The sheep yarding competition in connection with the Cimfitehurch Dog Trial Club ' 6 triads will be held on the Sports Ground on Monday nest. Among the forty-one entries aue five dogs brought over by Msr A. E. McLeod, of Wdga Downs, New South WaJes, amd this meeting of these with the New Zealand cracks will lend more than. omJiiinaory interest to the trials. Mt McLeod's dogs have also scored heavily at Sydney competitions. The Exhibition conteste- will consist in , driving sheep through two separate pairs of hurdles, one representing a gateway amd tne other a race amd yairding them.

ilr Jaquee,, the Government canning expert, will give demonstrations of fruit preserving on Wednesday and Thursday axternoons, aft ear which then? wiil! be a cessation till Easter. The demonstrations will then- be renewed and given at short intervals (till the close of the Exhibition.

Eighty-nine fire brigades, including one from Coxowa, N.S.W., will take pant in the competations on the Sporte Ground this week. A commencement will bs 1 made to-morrow afternoon, three evente taking place at once. Judges and officials held a meeting to-night, at which final arrang>emenrfs were made.

A large number of entries' have been already received for the physical development competitions to be held in "Wonderland" in conjunction with the search for buned treasure om Friday, Masrch 22.
