Ngatau, claim £17 Is Bd. No -appearance of defendant. Was ordered to pay farth.■wittx t or in default four days in New Plymouth, gaol: C. Hunger (Mr Bennett), v. W. Gordon, daim £%r IS* '3d. No appearancei of defendant. Ordered to pay forthwith or in default one week in Wangantii gaol. A. G. Bennett v. G. Ngatau, claim £10 14s 6d. No appearance of defendant. Ordered to pay forthwith or in default 14 days' in* l New Plymouth 5 gaol. R. Johns (Mr A. G. Bennett) v. Bivrardale Co-ope»itiiTe Dairy Company. — Th/ie case wae adjourned till 11 a.m. on Monday,jri7thiost. Police v. S. Lewis (M-r Bennett), chafed with procuring liquor for a prohibited person on August 18th. — Dismissed. Police" v. J7 Inlah, charged with procuring drink during fche currency of a prohibition order on August 18th. Rawd 20a and costs, 11s. \ Police v. J. Imlah, charged with drunkenness on August 18th. Fined ss. The fuaieral of the late Mr P. McCarthy, jun., 1 took place fchifl afternoon, leaving the Catholic Church at 2.30 o'clock. There was a large attendance of friends of the family from all parts of the district, including Kaponga and Hawera, etc.
