1^ (From Our Own Correspondent.) The animal (school xxmcert was held) o* advertised on Tuesday night last, and tins, children gave an excellent rendering of a very interesting programme, consisting of songs, choruses, recitations, and drill items «c under: — Chorus, "friendship" ; song, "Raindrops," Pearl >,Clemonte; chorus, "Washerwomen"; (drill, Schoolmaster," Master F. Watts; dialogue, "The Doctor"; recitation, "None to Sp'aire," Mass Julia White; chorus, "In the Cathedral"; song, with chorus, "The Drummer Boy," F. Knight; drill, crabs; song, "Football"; chorus, "The Stairs"; recitation, "A little help," Jean Scott; X chorus, "The Flag"; chorus, "This is - r East" ; choraj, "Miss Mulligan* Girls" ; song, "Coon, Coon, Coon," Masters F. Knight and J. Broad ; chorus, "Ten Little Nigger Boys." "God Save the King." The Chairman spoke of the great help given by Miss Hughes in training the children to sing and a vote of thanks was carried by acclamation. After the concert the children were entertained at a eumptnous supper, whilst the floor was being cleared for dancing. The staff are to be congratulated on their success, and special praise ib due to those members of ihe committee wno worked assiduously in the preparation. BUSINESS RECORD. —J.
