I The Department of Labor has decided . to prepare an exhibit for the. Christchurch ! Exhibition showing the condition of factories, and particularly desires to illustrate the improvements that have taken place 1 in factories during the last fourteen or fifteen years. In pursuance of this Mr Donald, inspector in Taranaki, is desirous of obtaining for exhibition (models of fac j tones in working, such as timber mills, j woodwar© factories, engineers' shops, etc., or in default of being able to get models is anxious to get good photographs of the . various departments of such industrial' 1 concerns. It is thought that this would I materially help to make the Labor De- ■ partment exhibit worthy of the Exhibi1 tion, and as it would appear tihat Taranaki is not to be specially represented this may bo regarded as a good opportunity for putting before visitors .some idea- of what is being done in Taranaki towns.
