It was discovered to-day that the Presbyterian Church had been struck by the lightning on Tuesday. Several of tbe> windows are broken, at one the outside facing has been forced off and splintered, and the inside ■ architecture was, .ripped off and jthrown across"' *c ' the other side of the -church The 6x3 stud at this window is much -shattered ; about 20ft further along a lining board is broken, and a corresponding hole .appears on the outside -rustic. The building has the appearance of having been heavily strained.

Two other houses close by the -hurch .each lost a finial.
