MR REID A"ND A WHITE AUSTRALIA WHAT ABOUT JAPAN? [PBESS ASSOCIATION.! (Received April 10, 9.17 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 10. Mz Reid, speaking at Dubbo, said he stood side by side with Mr Watson on the white Australia question, but the revelation, nob only of skill and valor, but also of humanity, in Japan's late war, convinced him that it should be one of the great aims of Australia to get on terms of friendship with Japan. Mr Reid, continuing, said there need nob be a Japanese invasion, but he thought it was well within the sphere of practical politics ithat they could, while not sacrificing their national objects, recovear the esteem and friendship of the great colored race.
