WELLINGTON, April 9. A leaflet has been issued by the Department of Agriculture showing the volume amd value of the exports of the principal products for the year ending March 3181. These and the comparison with the pravious year in each case, are *s follows :—: — .Butter 299,345 cwt, value £1,443,153, a. decrease of 43,408 cwt, and £71,003 in value ; cheese 107,503 cwt, value *257,171, increase 25,082 cwt, and £76,296 in value, j beef 155,602 cwt, value £18,866, .a decrease of 3531 cwt, and £10,538 in value; mutton 774,211 cwt, value £1,098,417, decrease 191,292 cwt-, and £225,383 in value; lamb 1,905,717 carcases, value £1,151,919, an increase of 11,356 carcases, value £28,807; wheat 991,068 bushels, value £148,281, an increase of 439,269 bushels, value £63,346; oats 932,010 bushel©, value £88,025, a decrease of 1,315,332 bushels, value £96,928 ; potatoes 270 tons, value £2429, a decrease of 3343 tons, value £7293 ; hemp 28,544 tons, value £691,760, an increase of 335 tons with, a decreased value of £39,043.
