FURTHER PARTICULARS.
(Received April 10, 9.33 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 10. Two men, FaTquhar and Swainstan, succumbed from the effects of the gas in the Proprietary Company's mine. Tonkin is in a serious ■condifaion. Altogether about twenty were affected but the rest recovered. But for the prompt efforts of the rescue party and the bravery displayed by them much more serious Tesults would have followed. Several rescuers were amongst those who were overcome with gas. There are no indications of the fire spreading.
