ITS EELATJON TO SAN DOMINGO.
[press association.] (Received January 26, 1.4 a.m.) WASHINGTON, January 25. Senator Hodge, speaking in the Senate and discussing "MonToeism," said that the United States ought not to allow a foreign Power even temporary occupation on the American continent. He continued: "We could not permit foreign Powers to occupy any ports in the Cairibean, Sea, winch guarded the approaches to the Panama Canal. If San Domingo were left in its present bad condition, the United States mignt be compelled to take it in order to prevent otnens."
