THE FIRST TEST SELECTION.

"L'Etoile da Xord" will be the first test selection, and will be decided on the Show Grounds this evening at 8 o'clock. Tlie grounds will be illuminated with powerful arclampsand colored lights, and should prove quite a. fairy's bower. The band rotunda, which- has been specially erected for the occasion, is of large dimensions, and will be brilliantly lighted. A large enclosure in front of thle grandstand has been taken in. and will form a lawn well seated. The Old Country, -custom of rendering the selections irt the. open wUI no doubt appeal to the public. The admission to the grounds will be Is. children 6d, and it is confidently anticipated that several thousands will assemble this/ evening to hear the first big item in' the 1906 contest.
